About Me

Hi, I’m Katrin Field — a lifelong crafter, passionate card maker, and proud paper addict! I’m the founder of European Papercrafts, a company inspired by my love of creativity and beautiful design. Originally from Berlin, Germany, where I grew up and went to school, I moved to the United States over thirty years ago and now live with my husband in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California.

My love for card making began when my sister Heidi introduced me to handmade cards — it was love at first sight! I’ve been passionate about crafting since childhood, but card making quickly became my favorite creative outlet. When I ran out of my German supplies, I started looking for ways to bring those wonderful European products to the US — and that’s how European Papercrafts was born.

While I proudly offer some of my favorite American brands, most of my products come from Holland, Germany, and the UK. Each year, I travel back to Germany to visit family and connect with my European suppliers at leading craft fairs.

During the week, I work at our local community college, but my weekends are dedicated to crafting and sharing my creations on my YouTube channel. I also volunteer at our senior center, where I teach card making and share this joyful hobby with a wonderful group of ladies.
